Wolverhampton West 41 Club is delighted to announce that we will be carrying on the longstanding tradition of our Santa Sleigh Collection this year and will be following our usual routes in Perton, Pattingham and Codsall. We look forward to seeing you all out there!

Since our formation in March 2019 we have continued the charitable fund raising activities that our mother club, Wolverhampton Round Table Number 17, had been undertaking for many decades.
The main fundraiser has always been the Santa Sleigh Collection and we are shortly to commence this year’s efforts with us treading the streets, in the above mentioned areas, with our money boxes in our hands and Santa in his sleigh!
We have always been amazed at the generosity of the residents in the locality and the money raised goes to support a wide range of local charities.
In recent years we have donated £6,500 to St. Chads Church of England School (VC) in Pattingham to help towards the creation of a running track at the school, £1,000 towards Crohn’s and Colitis UK and we also purchased a double decker bus for Perton Primary Academy to provide a library and quiet reading area for pupils.
Last year we raised around £3,000 from the sleigh collection alone.
This year we have sponsored three local football teams, have donated to Marie Curie and heavily supported Perton Foodbank. Our sleigh collection dates start on 3rd December in Perton and finish on 14th December in Codsall. Full dates and details can be seen on our Facebook site, Wolverhampton West 41 Club.
Whilst fundraising is our primary concern, we also enjoy fellowship with social nights out being organised.
This year, amongst other events, we have enjoyed beers and curries, an event with the Wolverhampton Company of Archers, an evening in an Escape Room in Telford and an ‘Agricultural’ afternoon at a farm in Trysull which saw us driving various farm vehicles to varying degrees of success.
I shall not name the person involved but, suffice to say, the vehicle under his control ended up in a hedge! The BBQ afterwards helped to reduce his blushes…
Wolverhampton West 41 Club has raised considerable funds to date and we have already identified further local charities, organisations and individuals to support with donations in 2024.
