CREAM AND THEN JAM OR JAM AND THEN CREAM

How do you eat yours?  Wombourne Branch are celebrating  National Cream Tea day on the 26th June 2015.

The art of afternoon tea dates back to Charles II in 1662, in 1706 Thomas Twinning opened London’s first tearoom.  We have the Duchess of Bedford to thank for what we now know as afternoon tea, her liking of this event during the afternoon soon developed into a social event and by the 19th Century it became an everyday occurance.

So in honour of this very british tradition our resident marvellous cake maker Dianne Hennessy, who masquerades as our Administrator/Sale Negotiator, will be making cakes for the office along with a little help from Lynn and Maddy.  So if anyone is in the Wombourne area on Friday afternoon please pop in.
