Wombourne Branch Manager, Maddy Swann, would like to share a very special photo taken in November 2014. Prince Charles, who is the Patron of the Samaritans, visited the Wolverhampton Branch in Newhampton Road last year during a tour of the West Midlands. The tour finished with a visit to Wightwick Manor. Maddy was one of a privileged few who were chosen to meet Prince Charles. Her work with the Samaritans has been over a period of 3 years, and taking over the Youth Prison Co-ordinator role within Brinsford prison.
Maddy says, “Samaritans offer many forms of support; the known telephone call, email from all over the world and texting is now being brought in. Each branch needs to raise vital monies to continue their good work. The only person who actually gets paid is the cleaner!”
