On a very wet Saturday afternoon, Berriman Eaton and Sunrise Senior Living held a very well turned out Fashion/Auction Show in aid of Compton Hospice. Organisers Carrie Jahn – Sunrise and Maddy Swann – Berriman Eaton managed to encourage local businesses to donate both amazing auction lots and raffle prizes.
Clothes were donated by Lisa of Hush Dress Agency, Brewood and Compton Hospice shop. The choir of Compton Hospice opened the event followed by a stunning fashion show all modelled by volunteers of the following organisations, Finnells, South Staffordshire Golf Club, Berriman Eaton and Sunrise staff and their families, Quality Talbot and FBC Manby Bowdler Solicitors.
David Berriman was our Auctioneer for the afternnon and did a stirling job of selling all 11 lots, we even had a telephone bid for a pair of box plants supplied by Claphams, but Caroline Eaton managed to outbid and secure these pots for herself.
A HUGE thank you to all who supported this event both with their donations and the giving of their time. So far £1052.90 has been raised and I am sure Compton Hospice as we do, send our heartfelt gratitude to you all.
